Club Condition Guide

  • As New – These exquisite golf clubs have never been used to strike a golf ball, and they may still be securely wrapped in their original packaging. Additionally, the shaft and grip could retain their original wrapping. Enjoy all the advantages of a pristine golf club, minus the hefty price tag!
  • Excellent – Only the faintest signs of use are visible, likely from just a couple of rounds of golf at most. Our ‘excellent’ rated clubs are an outstanding bargain, having seen minimal action on the course and maintaining a like-new feel when gripped in your hands.
  • Good – Clubs categorized as ‘good’ exhibit no damage whatsoever, and if there are any marks on the top line, they are minimal and purely cosmetic, having no impact on your game. You might notice some play marks on the face and sole, but these clubs have been meticulously cared for and still have many years of life ahead. Steel shafts may have slight marking and cosmetic wear, but there is no rust to be found. As for graphite shafts, they may display light scratching and wear on the graphics, but there won’t be any signs of bag rub. The grips will consistently be in excellent condition with no signs of wear marks.
  • Fair – In the ‘fair’ condition category, you might come across some cosmetic wear here and there, but these clubs are still in decent shape and suitable for play. You may notice occasional marks on the topline, head, and crown, but they have plenty of usable life left. Similarly, the shaft will be in good condition but may show signs of cosmetic wear. Steel shafts could have minor marks or rust spots, while graphite shafts might exhibit some bag wear. The grips will be in serviceable condition, but there will be some signs of wear, and they may have lost some tackiness. However, they are easily replaceable. If you’re seeking a budget-friendly option and don’t mind some cosmetic imperfections, this could be the right choice for you.
  • Poor – Even in the ‘poor’ condition, these clubs are still playable, but they will exhibit heavy signs of use and wear, particularly on the clubface. The shaft may have significant pitting or noticeable rust spots, and graphite shafts might display extensive bag wear. The clubhead could have notable chips and dings. The grips are likely to have depression marks and might even have a split or tear, necessitating replacement in the near future. While the club may be in poor condition, there are still some measures you can take to extend its lifespan, which is not only beneficial for your game but also better for the environment by keeping it out of landfills.
